It is native to southern China, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia (Java, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Sumatra), the Philippines, New Guinea and Australia (New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia).
